My work is a “one of a kind” created from the paint as it is applied to the canvas.

Impressionism portrays scenes rich in emotion and character detailed to achieve vividness or effectiveness by evoking impressions rather than by recreating an objective reality.

Impressionism has been my main focus for many years. In the sixties, I studied at Eastern Illinois University under the guidance of Dr Carl Schull, a known artist that stressed the emotion and quality of the work instead of a re-creation of nature or object.

My work is based on light and dark colors, which evolves into a subject and composition; the evolution of color.   The objects of art you see were achieved with oils, acrylics and watercolors.

Some of the watercolors were done, based on travels, to Canada, California and throughout the U.S.  They are based on some photos taken, but the real finished paintings, comes from the emotion within, not duplication.

This is what, I believe, gives the work the freshness to enjoy it over and over, and make it a good value to the owner.
