Growing up on a farm, I was outdoors all the time. Animals, birds, insects and plants were part of everyday life. One of my uncles loved photography and showed us slides when he visited. My dream began.
My first camera was simple. As a French teacher, I had opportunities to visit France and Quebec. Taking photos was of great interest. The scenes were important to my work and I shared the slides with my classes.
Over time I discovered that a leaf, a flower petal, the worn wings of a bee or moth had their unique beauty. Finding that beauty was my way to relax, to discover and to share.
I am now retired and have the time to pursue my love of nature and photography. Natural beauty is present everyday and everywhere. Et voilà. “Nature As Is.”
