My art is expressed through the media of photography. I have taken numerous trips all over the U.S. for the sole purpose of capturing the beautiful country we live in and have found that my favorite places to take captures is of the grandeur and vast vistas of the American Southwest with the richness of colors and details that surround the entire area. My most notable achievement in photography was when one of my captures that I took in Canyonlands National Park of Mesa Arch at Sunrise was selected as one of the 5 finalists (out of 8,500 worldwide entries) in the 4th annual Smithsonian Photo contest. It hung in the Smithsonian Castle building in Washington, D.C. from July through December 2007. I am humbled and very proud of this accomplishment.
