Making metal sculptures with twists, and making steel turnabouts, is truly my passion. Before they are made, they are concepts, that turn into shapes on paper, that I bend, twist or roll to get a feel of how they will turn out.  Once the shapes are cut from metal, I try to transfer the paper outcome to the metal. The exciting part is that the metal shape is rarely  the same as the paper shape and a new design is created. I keep creating until I feel it is complete.
Inspirations come from daily objects and pictures in my mind. My sculptures represent what is real and what is abstract. I am currently working on large indoor and outdoor sculptures.
Having no formal training,  I picked up welding from where I could, from people, from watching You Tube after You Tube videos and practice, practice, practice. From creating designs, to welding, to the finishes on sculptures, are  the activities that keep me enthused and insure that no two sculptures are exactly alike.
I am finally a person who loves what she does.  I create the sculptures beginning with an idea, a drawing, and then cutting the metal. Next I bend or roll if needed, weld, sand then they get powder coat. I enjoy making steel sculptures because I love to create and I like seeing how they turn out. It is not always what I plan and that is what makes it interesting for me.
