Exhibiting Membership
An exhibiting member is a dues paying
member in good standing who has juried into the Association in one (or more) of
12 categories. The categories are: Clay, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry,
Mixed, Oil and Acrylic, Print, Photography, Sculpture, Water Media, and
Wood.
You are welcome to be a member of the group
and not be an exhibiting member. The benefits of being an exhibiting
member are twofold:
1. You may show your work at the three to
four group exhibits organized by the Association each year.
2. Jury fee is waived for exhibiting members who apply to the spring and fall art festivals. All artists must
apply and be accepted through the show jury process to participate in the Spring and Fall Art Fairs at Queeny Park.
To "jury in" to become an
exhibiting member of GSLAA, you submit a portfolio of six pieces that
represent your best work in one medium.
You need to contact the current vice
president/membership chairperson, to review the details of the jurying
process and to schedule a mutually convenient date.
