AUGUST MEETING

Dan Martin will be our program speaker

DATE: Thursday, August 26, 2010

PLACE: First Congregational Church of Webster Groves
10 West Lockwood (Corner of Elm and Lockwood)
(The meeting room is on the second floor of the church annex)

TIME: 7:00 pm - Light refreshments and "Mingling"
7:30 pm - Business meeting followed by a program featuring Dan Martin of the Post Dispatch. Dan has been an award winning cartoonist, illustrator and designer for the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch for over 30 years. In addition to creating the Saturday comic strip, "Postcard from Mound City," he has drawn the newspaper's front page 109-year- old mascot, the Weatherbird, since 1986. He has authored or illustrated 5 books, including "See You in the Funny Papers, the Rich Tradition of St. Louis Cartooning." A native St. Louisan, he holds a BFA in design from the University of Kansas.
