Two days! Five Workshops! Designed to give artists the tools to create better businesses by building a brand and increasing sales. How to improve and promote your creative business will be the focus of this weekend!

Saturday, April 14th:
Booth Design and Construction - Your booth is an important and expensive investment – learn to maximize its effects and make every inch of your space really count, without spending a fortune.
Dynamic Selling and Customer Service - This is a fun action packed workshop, get up, get motivated, take an active role and boost your sales and profit. Learn these important and effective techniques that will increase your retail and wholesale sales.

Sunday, April 15th:
Your Images and the Jury - The importance of first class photography of your art work is the focuc of this workshop. An extensive slide presentation in various art media will demonstrate the use of interesting and appropriate backgrounds, as well as the proper framing and lighting techniques.
Thrends - Trends drive the market place. Artists need to know what big business knows when it comes to using trends. The first half of this workshop will identify current and future trends and their effect on the market place.
Product Development - The second half of this workshop will cover Product Development. This is your way of tapping into the market. By using a few simple product development techniques you can create products that are easier to sell. To get the most out of this workshop each participant should bring an open mind and some examples of their work (or future plans for a product) to stimulate product development ”show & tell” discussions.

When: Two Days: Saturday April 14th and Sunday April 15th, 2012 8:30AM to 4:00PM
Where: St Louis Community College, Forest Park Campus. Near Kingshighway and Highway 64 (I-40).
Cost $125 for two days $75 of one day.

Bruce Baker has led over 500 workshops in the US and Canada in the last twenty years. Bruce has a special talent for making his workshops relevant to the audience’s needs. Those have taken his workshops report phenomenal increase in sales – as much as 20-30% by those who implement techniques from the workshop. Bruce serves on the board of directors for the Arts Business Institute and writes a regular column in the Craft’s Report. He is a frequent juror for large art and craft shows. When not on the road Bruce works as a jeweler.
